The Fargone Beauties – 1991 The track list is as follows -

Wild Thing / Bonanza
Oh Lonesome Me
Country Man
She's My Baby
Clean Living
Oink
Hey Joe
Little Sister
Cool World
Stairway To Heaven
The Last Time
Sad Tales From The Brothers Oink

The first self titled was album released in 1991 on True Blue Records through Sony, and was recorded at Megaphon Studios in Sydney The musicians were band members John Spence - Vocals, Acoustic and Electric Guitars; Terry Murray - Vocals, Electric Guitars; and James Gillard - Vocals, Bass Guitars; with Mark Collins & Ian Simpson – Banjo; and Mark Meyer – Drums. Justin Heffernan was enlisted to create the somewhat demented album artwork and the band photography.

Considered by some the best rock'n country album ever made, this album featured the hits Wild Thing, Hey Joe, Cool World and the masterful reworking of Stairway to Heaven which many argue is the way the song was truly meant to be played - "thrashgrass" style.

Unfortunately this album is out of print and unavailable. It remains a sought after collectable on websites worldwide.

It's Hard When You're Ugly – 1992 The track list is as follows -

Highway To Hell
Play That Country Music
Suspicious Minds
Sex & Drugs
Single Drop
Soul Arch
Hey Good Lookin
Lights On The Hill
Born To Be Wild
Rock & Roll
Let's Make A Move
Great Balls Of Fire

The band's second album was appropriately titled "It's Hard When You're Ugly". Recorded at Tracking Station Studios in Sydney, it was released in 1992 on the Emerald City label through Phonogram. This album included the killer thrashgrass version of AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" which, we are told, was most enjoyed by Angus & Malcolm Young when it was brought to their attention.

The musicians were Terry Murray – vocals, electric guitars; John Spence - vocals, acoustic and electric guitars; and James Gillard - vocals, acoustic & bass guitars; with Mark Collins - banjo; Mark Meyer and Dave Druery - drums; Dave Skinner guested on keyboards. Justin Heffernan maintained the bizarre bovine theme on the album artwork.

Unfortunately this album is out of print and unavailable. It remains a sought after collectable on websites worldwide.

Highway to Hell (CD single) – 1992 The track list is as follows -

Dark Side Of The Moo– 1994 The track list is as follows -

Mama Weer All Crazy
Fat Bottom Girls
I Hear You Knockin
Johnny B Goode
Get It On
Top Hog
That's The Way / Hustle
Judgement Day
Ballroom Blitz
I'm Walkin
She's So Fine
I'm Not In Love

Our third album "Dark Side Of The Moo" was released in 1994 through Dino Music. It carried on the tradition of taking classic rock songs and giving them a right good thrashgrass treatment in true Fargones style. Standout tracks include a blistering version of Slade's "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" which was also made into a truly twisted video, and a kick ass reworking of Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" which was used in a TV ad campaign for Johhny Walker Scotch Whisky throughout Australia.

The musicians were Terry Murray - vocals, electric guitars; James Gillard - vocals, acoustic & bass guitars; Mark Marriott - drums; with. Darryl Melbourne - banjo, dobro & guitar. Guest musicians included Mark Collins   - banjo, Kym Warner - mandolin; Marcus Holden - fiddle; and Christian Marsh - harmonica.

The album title and artwork continued the strange mutation of the bovine theme that graphic artist Justin Heffernan began when the famous Fargone cow first turned up on the debut album cover.

Unfortunately this album is out of print and unavailable. It remains a sought after collectable on websites worldwide.
